This is my first posting and I have set this blog up so that I can have a good moan without upsetting people. I have decided to use fictitious names so as not to point the finger.
I am so angry that I am still erupting because this morning somebody interfered when I was trying to help a child with something....in fact two of us were trying to help two children with something. Along comes Mr Know-all and interferes - takes over. Apparently he didn't like the way I was talking to the child.
Now I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren who all love me. I have been a Guider and a Scouter and I still work with children today. As far as I am aware Mr Know-all has only passing experience of children and I don't think he has ever worked with children or young people. He certainly has no knowledge of child psychology!
So what gives him the right to interfere? Does he not know the golden rule that adults never disagree in front of children because it sends out confusing messages? And children apart, does he not know in any case that if you want to rebuke someone when you are in a room full of people, that you speak to them privately? Thank goodness I don't work for the man!
Later he apologised - too late, because the damage has been done.
Worse - he saw me cry because I was so angry/upset with him!
